City to Hold FGD Related to Seribu Islands Electricity Needs

Jakarta Provincial Government held focus group discussion (FGD) related to projection of electricity needs in Seribu Islands Regency.  

We will also review about micro-generator, wind-based wind generators, and solar power

Jakarta Vice Governor, Sandiaga Uno opens the FGD. It is attended by directions of PT. PLN, PT. Jakarta Propertindo, PT. Jakarta Utilitas Propertindo, practitioners and academics.

Electricity will Be Injected to 29 Islands in Seribu Islands

Sandiaga Uno mentioned, this FGD will be focused to cooperation with PLN, renewable energy usage review, and waste utilization as electrical energy source.

"We will also review about micro-generator, wind-based wind generators, and solar power," he said at the location on Jl. MH. Thamrin, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (3/20).

He asked all Seribu Islands Regency apparatuses to help and facilitate electricity infrastructure capacity improvement program in Seribu Islands.

"It requires some lands to build power stations that need renovation," he added.

He explained, electricity infrastructure development will will affect approximately 23,800 people in 11 inhabited islands. By fulfilling electricity needs, hopefully it can develop more home industries, increase students' motivation to go to school and study, and accelerate information distribution through electronic media. 

"We also hope there will be more visits from tourists," he conveyed.

According to him, electricity infrastructure enhancement can develop tourism sector in Asian Games XVIII.

"We will maintain our synergy to fulfill electricity needs in there," he stated.
